UPDATE 1-Westell sees Q1 loss, to outsource some operations

(Reuters) - The broadband access product provider plans to move the
manufacturing of customer networking equipment and network
service equipment to offshore suppliers, affecting about 300
employees at its Aurora, Illinois facility, it said in a
statement.




Westell expects expenses of 8 cents a share in fiscal 2008
from the move. The product cost savings in fiscal 2009 are
expected to exceed the one-time costs related to outsourcing,
the company said.
