(Bloomberg) -- The Korea Feed Association and Major Feedmill Group jointly issued tenders to buy 495,000 metric tons of U.S. corn for feed production for arrival between October and November.
The tenders are split into nine lots of 55,000 tons and suppliers should submit offers by 5 p.m. Seoul time tomorrow, according to the groups' tender invitation to suppliers, a copy of which was faxed to Bloomberg News today.

Oil edges up, eyeing Nigeria vote, McKee refinery
(Reuters) - U.S. light, sweet crude for May delivery, which expires on Friday, rose 14 cents to $63.77 a barrel by 0417 GMT after slipping 22 cents on Friday. London Brent crude , which hit a 2007 high on Friday, stood 18 cents higher at $68.81.
Gasoline took the market spotlight last week, leading a rally until they swiftly reversed course on Friday after U.S. Energy Secretary Sam Bodman said he was "relatively confident" of sufficient gasoline supplies during the summer.

Correa wants Ecuador overhaul after referendum win
(Reuters) - With 19 percent of ballots counted, 83 percent of voters backed Correa's call for an assembly to rewrite the constitution and strip powers from a Congress they see as tainted for appointing cronies to state firms and the courts.
"This assembly with broad powers could reform the legislative, judicial and even the executive branch," Correa, a leftist and friend of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, said.

Japan's NTT May Double Bond Sales to 140 Billion Yen to Repay Units' Debts
(Bloomberg) -- Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp., Japan's largest phone company, may more than double bond sales this year to benefit from cheaper rates than bank loans as it aims to raise at least 470 billion yen ($3.9 billion), mainly to repay its units' debt.
NTT is seeking to raise at least 140 billion yen in two sales of 10-year bonds as early as in May, compared with 70 billion yen last year, Osamu Hirokado, head of NTT'S finance office said in an April 11 interview. The company may also sell five-year bonds in the fiscal year ending March 31, he said. NTT will borrow from banks to refinance the remaining debt.

Moody's Will Begin Rating Hedge-Fund Debt, Assessing Risk to Investors
(Bloomberg) -- Moody's Investors Service, expecting more hedge-fund managers to follow the lead of Citadel Investment Group LLC and sell debt publicly, plans to begin rating the funds' obligations.
Moody's ratings will expand on the criteria, announced in July, it uses to assess funds' operational stability. Hedge funds will have difficulty earning an investment-grade rating because they are inherently risky borrowers, Moody's said in a report today.

(Reuters) - Moroccans fear a series of suicide bombings in the commercial hub Casablanca may wreck the very economic growth needed to reduce the poverty seen as a breeding ground for jihadist foot soldiers.

UPDATE 1-ABN gives early Q1 numbers as merger talks intensify
(Reuters) - The Netherlands' biggest bank said its net profit rose 30.6 percent to 1.31 billion euros in the first quarter from a year earlier. Earnings per share from continued operations rose 30 percent to 0.65 euro from 0.50 euros, the bank said.
ABN AMRO said it issued the summary of results ahead of its scheduled April 26 earnings announcement "in light of recent developments and in order to be fully transparent."

Euro Rises to Record Versus Yen as Group of Seven Refrains From Criticism
(Bloomberg) -- The euro rose to a record against the yen after the Group of Seven industrial nations refrained from saying Japan's currency is too weak.
The 13-nation currency climbed to the highest since January 2005 against the dollar after European officials said its advance isn't holding back the region's economy. The G-7 said in its April 13 statement that global trade imbalances are narrowing and stopped short of expressing concern on a particular currency.
