European Two-Year Bond Yields Hold Near Five-Year High on ECB Rate Views

(Bloomberg) -- European two-year bond yields held
near the highest in almost five years on speculation the pace of
economic growth in the region will force the European Central
Bank to keep raising interest rates this year.

A report tomorrow may show German investor confidence rose
to the highest in almost a year in May. European debt fell by the
most last week in five after data showed European economies grew
faster than forecast in the first quarter. Futures prices show
investors are raising bets the ECB will lift rates at least twice
more in 2007.
