Resolution shares slide after takeover talks end

(Reuters) - LONDON, March 30 - Britain's Resolution has ended just over four months of takeover talks with unnamed parties, sending its shares down 5 percent though the insurer said it would continue to look at acquisitions and ventures.

Resolution, which has quadrupled in size in the past two years through acquisitions, said in November it was in talks over its future, which included purchases or a bid for the firm.
