Nordic Next-Year Electricity Prices Climb as German Power, Emissions Rise

(Bloomberg) -- Nordic power prices for 2008 rose for the fourth time in five trading days as German electricity and carbon- emissions permits traded at their highest since last year. Third- quarter power fell.

Electricity for next year on the Nord Pool ASA exchange gained 0.2 percent to 44.10 euros ($59.89) a megawatt-hour at 10:36 a.m. Oslo time today. That's the highest since Nov. 27.
